Microsoft Flight Simulator, colloquially known as Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or MSFS 2020, is a flight simulator developed by Asobo Studio and published by Xbox Game Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. It will be released on August 18, 2020 for Microsoft Windows. It is the eleventh major entry in the Microsoft Flight Simulator series, preceded by Flight Simulator X.

Flight Simulator will simulate the entire Earth using textures and topographical data from Bing Maps. Three-dimensional representations of the world's features, such as terrain, trees, grass, buildings, and water will be generated using Microsoft Azure technology. Through the use of the Azure cloud to render visuals, enhance visual fidelity, and simulate real-world data and effects, as well as calculate physics, the title has been widely viewed as the culmination of Microsoft's "power of the cloud" mantra. Some players received the Alpha version as part of the game's Insider program. On July 13, 2020, Microsoft opened up preorders, and announced that Flight Simulator for PC would be available on August 18, 2020.

It was released to ″universal acclaim″, according to the review aggregator Metacritic.

Even the 3090 is going to have trouble running this at a consistent 60fps at 4k. Anyone else get the feeling that Intel and Nvidea got together and made the requirements of this game so high to push sales of the 3090?

How do you record in hdr? It doesn’t make sense to put all in ultra an 0 clouds :)

To get 60 FPS, you need 10 years of technology

2 1- Its this way because they want to "Future proof" the game somewhat. Making it so advanced that it seems like its still current when the next GPUs are released... and 2- This is the first week of release. Calm down about your FPS, it will be updated streamlined and improved like every other game in existence. They literally played god and built the world, just appreciate it for what it is. XD

Bei mir stürzt MSFS mit eingeschaltetem HDR 10 ab. In Windows ist es aktiviert.

It looks playable at 30+ fps. Is it or I'm wrong? I mean: should we sacrifice resolution/quality for 60 fps? Or better to go with better visuals?
