You missed lots of things RE: Job market. EG: Person loses a $30/hour manufacturing Job, and gets a $15/hour service job. This person is still employed in the statistics, yet worse off. Also "part-time" work, and "contract", "under-employment" all count as employed. Often Job statistics are the most manipulated as they win elections. Wage growth/loss vs. inflation is a "better" statistic of how a regular person could be doing in the economy. There will also be a tipping point in the future coming with the apocalypse of automation. If 40% of the workforce is automated, and this creates high unemployment, consumerism will crater, as will the economy. AS company is not profitable no matter how automated they are if nobody can afford to buy their goods. People are aware of this and the automation change may not roll out as quickly as it "COULD"

But is it really cheaper for a company like Amazon to manufacture 10s of thousands robots to deliver to your door? Not so sure. Then they will need servicing, replacing and monitoring etc etc

Today we produce enough food to feed the world with a lower than ever part off the workforce in agriculture.
We can produce more goods with less people too, productivity is growing. Is that really a problem?

as an engineer for a London bus co my job is a safe job and has a world wide shortage, the risk is the new technology replacing the old, and the driver jobs are in a weird place as the job can be automated, but as such with the underground the automated system still employs a human to supervise it

I one of the few lucky right now I guess. I use to have my own business and. Was offered a job (I took it) that doubled my income with crazy good benefits.

My plan is to use this new job to create other streams of income. Hopefully buy more real estate.

false unemployment numbers . People are working multiple low pay jobs just to make ends meet but the goverment is counting them as individuals taking different jobs. Also the uber and lyft jobs are counted as full employment

Agricultural era, Industrial era, Information era, era? If everything's getting down for us I'm expecting a new economy, one we can't even fathom just like the candle lit Agricultural era couldn't imagine something such as a satellite, or Internet

Remember, people thought the world was ending when refrigeration became a thing and the guys sawing ice blocks out of frozen lakes were out of work. People adapted and made new jobs and careers around this new technology. The same will happen with AI. You can't automate EVERYTHING for one. But there will be new jobs created to support, maintain, market and further develop this new technology. You can look back and see this trend for every major technological breakthrough in history. As for me, I'm an investor so I'm covered.

Automation is coming you can see it in the self-checkout Lanes in the grocery store that is feasible but that robot delivering things put it out in the field i e the real world and what will happen if somebody tries to steal whatever it is carrying or make it fall over can it get up by itself pick up the package and still run to where it's going who knows I haven't seen this technology before I could that would be amazing if it could I just don't see that robot thing happening anytime soon although it does look pretty cool
