Thanks Dale for the info. I had to go back into hostgator under email at the bottom and select the set up mail client. My out going mail was on a different port. After that all work well.

Great video, but there was something I was wondering. I see you create an email through HostGator, then a few steps later you have it connected to a gmail account. What happens if you decide to switch hosting providers, do you lose your email in the process? I know lots of people who switch providers once their traffic increases on their website, so this might be beneficial to know before committing. Thank you for sharing, I really enjoyed watching this.
