Back in the day I still remember fondly the two months I spent bicycle touring in New Zealand. Same goes for the 6 months I spent in Australia. So many new and interesting things to see and experience for someone from North America.

I love this channel!
I did a chemistry degree at Vic back in the '80s and did a couple of geology courses too.
I well remember Dr (now Prof) Jim Cole, the volcanologist. Awesome lectures!
I think he's now at Canterbury Uni.

I doubt I'll make any more long trips in my life, but if I did, New Zealand would probably be #1 on the list. Yeah, we've got some interesting geology in America, but New Zealand seems like a natural showcase for all the different ways the Earth beneath us works. A very beautiful and interesting place.
