That’s exactly what I needed to hear today. I almost threw away a painting that I spent the whole day on and had that feeling that I should never pick up a brush again. In the end, all we need is to step back and take a breathe and realize that no matter how talented or trained you are, it’s always going to be a learning process, and there will be always new goals to achieve, no matter how perfect (or imperfect) your today’s work is. As an artist, you will never be fully pleased, and happily, that only leaves room for growing and seeking new ways to express ourselves through art.
