News flash, Alex. Elon has already rehired the best of the employees he fired. So he achieved 2 objectives with this exercise: cost-cutting and improving efficiency. Not that I'd want to be one of the employees he let go, but if you're hot you're hot and if you're not you're not. The not so hot employees got let go, and are still waiting for an email to come back into work. I'm sure they will find great jobs elsewhere with Tesla in their resume.

I disagree. When someone puts thousands of points on the board, they get the benefit of the doubt. Further, not all decisions will be correct, nobody is perfect, whether the decision turns out right or wrong. The market seems to agree with Elon.
