I think I have another type of axle, cuz I put the string on like you showed, but the knot just rotates around it so you can't wind up the string.

Used to yo yo a bunch as a kid, never could get any tricks down. Randomly saw one on the shelf at target and decided to buy it. Have been really obsessed the last few days, learned to walk the dog, rock the baby, and the Eiffel Tower this week all thanks to your amazing videos! How do you fix the string so that it makes the string tighter? The problem I have is that it doesn’t even tighten when I put my thumb on the edge of the string and twist and put it in the yo-yo.
