Yeah you got the Subwoofer in the top back shelf! I was the responsible engineer of the loudspeakers and infotainment/radio system at Scania. I fought so hard to keep the Subwoofer project alive, I left Scania before it went into production. So happy to see it make it through. 🙂

As a veteran American driver of 26 years, I gotta say, this is the coolest truck I’ve ever seen.

I am a lifelong KW driver, third generation in my family, always with American trucks. Now I have a 620hp Scania V8 in Mexico. I wouldn't go back to an American truck even if I'm drunk. My friends have W900s with C15 and C16 engines. I always humiliate them on the climbs and descents. They are also saving up to leave the American junk behind and get a Scania.

Hey Bruce the button on 10:39 is the Weight transfer button, we use it during the winter if you need more weight on the drive axel to have the grip you need to get up a hill or if you are stuck in at a loading bay and need to get going I hope Scania will start selling trucks in USA because they truly are the best trucks in the world

Here in the US we NEED these trucks only because all these other manufacturers don’t make quality trucks like they use to now it is mostly fast turn around with poorly made parts and when you need to replace parts it’s never available vs scania if you need a part THEY HAVE IT!

What a shame the USA have missed out on Scania trucks for years 🙄👍

As a 48-year old Swede... I realise I've been taking Scania for granted all these years... After seeing your videos and the enthusiasm for Scania suddenly I look at Scanias with a whole new attitude! I've been seeing them every day my whole life and never thought anything about it. Suddenly I see one and think "that is really cool!" and I love it. Thanks for making my days more interesting! 😊👍

Drivers keep their workshoe on the last step, not entering the cab with their workshoe. That's one way to keep it clean.

I'm from Brasil...we have Scanias here as well, great trucks.
Maybe later, at night, show your audience the headlight on the top of the windshield, it really lights up mountains ahead of you, it makes night turn into day.
Scanias are just on another level.

As someone who has had 2 389 peterbilts in Australia and now drive a R650 scania I would never go back the power tech and comfort is so much better.

I might be just a guy in the UK, but I'm so happy for you to be having this rare opportunity to have access to something incredibly special.

Bruce that button you didn't know what it was is simply weight transfer, over here if you're at traffic lights on a hill, we usually lift the axle before getting going, but weight transfer pulls weight off the tag, and puts it on the drive for traction, it then cancels the function at about 20mph 👍 that's simply what it is.

Remember to put your shoes on the top step before closing the door. It's mandatory. Then you have your driver shoes (Swedish clogs) inside, or drive barefoot.

The thing on the roof is the radar for the alarm. If you look on the key there’s two options, one is to lock and disable the motion sensor for when you’re on a ferry or train (ferry icon on the key) the other disables the radar in the cab so you can lock it from the fob while inside and not set the alarm off.

The control on the back of the cab on the curled cable is radio control, night heater control, night cool (parking aircon) and a few other features.

Coffee maker is pretty normal, but if you went for the high-roof variant, you could have gotten the Scania Microwave oven in the overhead passanger side 😎

Beautiful truck! I’ve been driving Scania’s for 20 years now, and it’s not until you see a video like this that you realise how amazing these vehicles are. We kind of take them for granted here in the UK and Europe.
Looking forward to seeing you take it on the road in the USA. 🚚🚚
