Today's batteries don't have the punch to keep electrically powered aircraft flying for very long. So NASA is taking the approach of devising hybrid combustion-electric motors as a transitional technology.

looking at their web site the 40 kw motor as no meaning it use lot more fuel than a polini thor weigh double lot more complication and the polini is 3.200 euros what is the price of this one?

I don't...I can't...but why not... So why not just power the props directly from an IC engine(s) which also employs a very small generator intended to power the control board, video/telemetry radios, etc. of the aircraft, thus _eliminating_ the unnecessary energy losses incurred from spinning a generator that in turn powers a motor? If you're going to be burning fuel no matter what to keep it in the air, you might as well use that energy as efficiently as possible instead of sending it down a chain of lossy conversions.

Hobby electric aircraft are not airworthy? Hmm.. mine fly just fine. .
and they are limited to 15-20 minutes? Hmmm. none fly for up to 4 hrs, and 3 with a REAL payload..
and the products that they are promoting have not even flown at the time of the video...

The disdain that is shown by the professional known as MIKE is incredible, considering his lack of knowledge of the hobby industry, and is obviously spreading misinformation to promote his product.
I have no doubt that the hybrid systems will work well, and have potential far greater than current battery tech, but the way he behaves will not help the company.

If two magnets with the same polarity are put against each other within a structure that is permanently held them apart it will produce a magnetic field that will push against itself and all you have to do is provide a shaft that connects to the Center of the generator you connect the shaft get a generator core which suspended magnetically you need no part of fuel do you need to oil you need no gas you need no sunlight it will run in a vacuum and it will produce electricity if you need more information please contact me

I have always know that batteries are not enough and that small generators are needed in many areas of human life but have no funding to develop products for third world nations small humanly portable generators can markly change humanity 😊😨😟😞😒
