This video is the best I’ve seen so far in explaining BNF’s trading strategy, though it still has some inaccuracies. Most videos about him miss key aspects. BNF didn’t rely on charts—he used ranking tables instead. He didn’t look at RSI(an oscillator) at all; instead, he focused on the Relative Strength (RS) rating. it also called RSI. it was calculated as 40% * P3 + 20% * P6 + 20% * P9 + 20% * P12, which helped gauge the strength of a trend as rank.

I believe much of his success came from synchronizing with a large algorithm run by Japan’s biggest market player at the time before AI became as advanced as it is today. Nowadays, those gaps close faster, rebounds happen sooner, and sector rotation is less obvious than it used to be.
