A state is created but the apparatus for a functioning state is not created. Many questions should have been raised long before the year of 1947., Does Pakistan, once formed, possess the intellectual manpower to create such a state? Impoverished Muslims showed no capabilities throughout the 19th century. English rule went beyond their heads. All they had was Islam—with rules for simple people to follow. Now Pakistan is a failed and bankrupt military state. G.M. Syed is not alone in his opposition.
