To clarify, by 'Re-seller', i'm certainly referring to 'Bad Re-Sellers' or 'Scalpers' that buy up multiple of anything off the bat, to sell them for 100s as soon as they can.

I have a lot of friends (sometimes close to family) that sell games. Re-selling isn't inherently a bad thing. So assume in this video every time I say that word, I just mean the bad ones :)

Love you guys! Enjoy the video and i'll see you in the next one!

They'll stop doing it as soon as
A) Nintendo starts actually supplying demanded products.
B) People stop paying for it.

I feel the fault is also with the retailer for not adhering to the policy of one per customer. I purchased items from smaller companies that sell exclusives and they have the capacity to limit a purchase based on IP and credit card used, why cant the bigger retailer companies do the same? I tried to get 2 NES classics for myself and my brother but they only allowed me to get 1, then I see 1 guy walk in and pick up 7-10 under his name? Really?

I agree, the PAL SNES looks way cooler.

here's a cool story. My birthday was a few months ago (April 29th) and we went to a GameStop where I had seen an NES classic! I rushed in and the guy said they were out of stock (why did you keep the box out then!?) I left with a $35 éShop card. I saw the NES there before so I imagined getting it to be the highlight of my birthday...BUT then we went to Best buy because I wanted an amiibo and I saw an NES classic! In fact, it was the last one! I bought it and the amiibo that day! It's a pretty fun console but I don't think I'll get an SNES classic. (Or stumble upon one like that)

I'm done with video games. I'm getting into competitive POG playing. I'll make it cool and then scalp the fuck out of them.

My mom was really cool with the snes classic. When she gave it to me for Christmas she said one of her coworkers got back from lunch after going to gamestop and getting one. He told her the shipment had just come in and wasn’t off the truck yet. She knew I wanted one and knew they wouldn’t be there later. So she took an hour off work and got one. My mom was really cool in this case and I love her for it.

You made your points well, Woods.
Unfortunately, and sadly, I can't think of a single law written that prohibits these 'profiteers' from buying in bulk.

The only saving grace would be if the shops and superstores limited each customer to a maximum of two.
But then i'd imagine they'd send out their friends and relatives to buy one each.

You're right though, it's not right what they do.

I'm growing to be very thankful that I live in Australia. Preordering games the day they're announced then strolling in on release day and buying it is so easy.

I got really lucky with my snes classic. It was on the back shelf at a game store sat by itself. I asked about it and the man at the counter said that someone had ordered it for a pickup and had never picked it up. I'm really happy that I found this as I do not have the money to start retro Nintendo collecting.

Video should be called "how many times can I say the same exact thing". Jeez, Louise.

Re-sellers were such an issue for the NES Classic Mini, that when the SNES Classic Mini was up for pre-order, they made it so each person was only allowed to buy one copy at Australian retailers. At first I thought it was because stock was limited, but it turns out it was mostly to prevent people from re-selling the system, at least in Australia anyway.

Finally found one at my local GameStop today. Thank god. Now I have both the NES and SNES classic.

Let's call them what they really are, scalpers. Evil, evil scalpers.

just pre-ordered mine from Walmart two seconds ago!!!

Hurry and go now! Don't know how long it'll last.

So pumped I got it.

I used some app that notified me the second it became available for pre order

I lucked out with the NES Classic Mini. I got my hands on one during Best Buy's FINAL shipment a couple months ago. I had to wait for 3 annoyingly awkward hours for them to open their doors. And I got VERY lucky. They only had 6 of them, and I was the 5th person in line (I would have been the 4th if I hadn't been waiting in my truck at first). I want the SNES Classic even MORE, and I'm SO worried about whether I'll get it or not. So far, stores in North America aren't taking preorders. And I hope it stays that way. Because I'm getting up SUPER early that day.

Not to be a dick here, but while I dislike resellers, I view it as an emerging market, that, if Nintendo kept supplies up like Sony and Microsoft this wouldn't be a thing. That resellers can help others in regions where they can't find the object get what they want while providing a job for them as well. While I still have a great disdain for overpaying, I hope that some of those resellers actually do it for a job rather than extra money, and I am sure they do...
