I tried out your settings and it worked, for the most part.

I tweaked a few things and now the game plays flawlessly.

Direct3D11, I use Hardware mode, not Software.

VU I set to 0, this greatly reduced "choppiness" during gameplay, which was making me nauseous to play.

Aggressive-CRC I enabled, this greatly gets rid of all the fog and sunshine, which makes the game a lot clearer/sharper.

Happy gaming!

Glad you enjoy it, spread the word :)

Was barely playable before I used your settings, now runs flawless at 60FPS with a weaker system than yours. Thanks.

Progressive mode gives you better video quality (no need for deinterlace, higher native resolution). This game has an internal frame skipping mechanism which was even used on the PS2, so when it detects low performance it skips frames by itself

Defaults would be the best configuration, that's why they are defaults :P After that, you have to configure on a per game basis. Keep in mind 2, 4 Ghz is a bit low for PCSX2, we usually recommend around 3 Ghz or more (although since it's an i7 you can get away with less usually)

If you checked out the description of this video, you'll see there settings you'll need with this game. You should set VU cycle steal to atleast 2 (or even 3). That will give you a huge speed boost with this game

wow, it helps.
u guys supporting really nice, thx a lot :D

4x native is usually over Full HD (ie 1920x1080). Or you can set custom res to 1920x1080 for exactly that resolution.

This game has an internal frame skipper (yes, it was being used on the actual PS2 as well) so it's pretty hard to get solid REAL 60 fps. You need tons of raw power for that...to be able to disable the VU cycle steal speed hack completely and still get full speed. My suggestion would be trying different values of this speed hack and using the one that feels better for you

This game took a while for a good configuration, but I was able to record a 1440p comparison video between highest playable settings and native(unlisted though). Really impressed my friends, keep up the good work...

Your processor has a +10% advantage over mine due to architecture. Now if you add specific heavy scenes that you will certainly not get 60 FPS (and you probably haven't encountered them yet) my statement still stands. Also about the misaligned glow, you can use the settings on our other SotC videos (try #6) to fix it

I don't remember if you can skip the intro the first time you boot the game. IIRC after that you press start then get the option to skip it

If there was anything like 'best settings', what would be the point of having them there to change them? We would preset the emulator to these settings and be happy :P Each game needs different settings, although most run well on defaults. Each video we post in this channel shows the exact settings we used in the description.

1.1.0 are development builds and as I've said again in other comments here you can download them from our website at Downloads->SVN

That's why we have a VERY detailed configuration guide on our website to help you. You can refer there to find out what each and every option in the program does.

Wow, just figured all this stuff out. PS2 games look unbelievable on PC using this. Just booted up Final Fantasy X at this resolution with forced AA on it blew me away. This game is up next as soon as I pick up a copy.
