Some of the 2023 July 24 celebrations, hosted by Finlandia Foundation Copper Country Chapter, which coincided with raising the Midsummer Pole (Juhannus Salko) on Hancock's Quincy Green next to Finlandia Foundation National's recently acquired Finnish American Heritage Center. Backroom Boys provided live music, and the Kivajat Dancers led most dances.
The Finnish American Heritage Center supports Hanka Homestead Finnish Museum's mission, and both places are Keweenaw National Historical Park Heritage Sites.
