They talk about all of the major milestones to expect to see from baby and all of the important steps that need to happen before baby can be discharged safely home. Also, be sure to stick around to the end of the video where they discuss some more controversial topics like Vitamin K injections, Hepatitis B vaccines, and antibiotic eye ointment.

Im in my third trimester and just made an appointment with our soon-to-be Pediatrician for a prenatal consultation/interview! Would love a video about what to ask/expect when meeting with your pediatrician for the first time :)

After almost 20 years of PCOS and fertility issues, I found out I am pregnant with my first baby. It happened naturally after Clomid etc....didn't help! Really enjoyed this video!

I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I am so thankful for these videos. They are so informative and you both have a great clam energy. Cannot wait to see more! Also would love an educational video on SIDS. That is what I am most terrified about

This is so informative! I'm 33.1 weeks (due May 25) with our 2nd daughter but I have forgotten all this since she's 7 years old. Prayers to you both for a safe and healthy baby and delivery.

I'm glad you two are making these. My wife is pregnant and we've been doing a lot of research on what things are actually important for baby.

I live in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska, so there are no pediatrician close by. My doctor does everything, she is my family doctor, my ob, and pediatrician for my kids. These videos help a lot to ask questions though.

I do not think my babies had blood screenings that had results reported much later. But they did require a hearing test done at the hospital before we left - this was not mentioned as one of the tests in this video.
Also, we could choose to do any vaccinations at our pediatricians after going home instead of in hospital.

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and ready for delivery!!! 😂
I believe no 2 babies are the same and it's always good for a refresh and more baby education.
Thanks Doctors!

The fact that delayed cord cutting is now becoming standard is good news. When I gave birth the first time in 2011 I asked for delayed cord clamping/cutting and the doctor treated me like I was crazy. Basically told me I would bleed out and possibly die if they delayed cord cutting.

Thanks for explaining newborn screening. I think many prospective parents are unfamiliar with what is done and how it differs from preconception and prenatal genetic testing.

Thank you for this video. Really helpful information. My 3rd and final baby arrived so quickly that I gave birth unassisted in the hospital parking garage. This resulted in my baby not receiving a medical evaluation until 10-15 mins postpartum. There was multiple concerns about my baby’s health but so far so good.

They did delayed cord clamping for me and my first baby because I'm anemic and they wanted to make sure baby got more blood. She was tested for anemia and showed that she had a small amount anemia

Thank you for making this very informative video! I always wondered what the evidence was behind these routine procedures. Doctors in my area are always in such a hurry they often forget about the "informed" part of informed consent. This video was very helpful, especially for a first time mom with pathological anxiety- Thanks again! ❤
