Having launched my own channel I was looking for ways to improve the appearance of my videos and being an Apple user, and using FCPx, motion seemed the way to go. Had no idea how to use it and so was looking for a specific tutorial on intros when I found this.
Yes, Dylan does talk fast but he packs a lot of really key information into a short space of time. I used it like a step by step guide, pausing the video and copying what he did. The end result was a really professional looking intro. The only thing I couldn’t figure out was how to remove the grid lines from the framing section, but eventually found it (hey, you can’t be spoon fed EVERYTHING!!).
Great video Dylan - have liked and subscribed and will definitely be back for more! Thanks.

Absolutely amazing the way, you guide us step by step. I do have a question though can sound be published to FCPX when using a Text project? I am trying to make an intro that already has the sound embedded when I add it to my FCPX timeline, so I don't have to synchronize the sound every time.

Hey man, thanks so much for creating this tutorial. I have an issue when using it in FCP, when I drop it in top of a video, towards the end the mask goes again to the first frame of the video below it, and when the element of the logo is over it skip to where the video actually is now. Do you know how can I fix it so it's actually in the same frame of the video that is transitioning to?
