A dynamic weather pattern is set to impact the United States from late March into early April 2025. The immediate focus includes heavy rainfall along the Texas Gulf Coast through the weekend, potentially leading to significant flash flooding, and a widespread severe weather event on Sunday, March 30, targeting the Ohio, Mississippi, and Tennessee Valleys with threats of tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail. Farther north, significant snow and ice accumulations will affect areas from the Northern Plains through New England, potentially causing travel disruptions. Looking ahead, the active pattern continues with periods of precipitation and additional severe weather threats across the central and eastern states, while fire weather concerns increase in the Southwest and Southern Plains.

I hate nocturnal storms! It’s always so hard to decide whether or not I need to get my kids up to drive to the tornado shelter.

I don’t want to see anybody get hurt or suffer damage, but we NEED rain in NC. These fires have got to be stopped. 😢

my favorite part of Ryan is that he explains the danger straight on, then explains why it's happening (i.e. This is what's happening, this is why it's happening) so that the viewers can start to piece together signs for storm systems before being notified, and that he doesn't sugarcoat or hype up systems

Spring is quickly becoming my least favorite time of the year with how awful this weather has been getting over the years… As always though, thank you for keeping us all updated as much as possible! Stay safe!!

I lived through a tornado while I was home alone a few years ago so I'm terrified of foul weather. I watch you faithfully so I can stay prepared. Thank you for keeping us informed.

I laughed at my husband when he got a tornado shelter years ago in Tennessee and now I’m so glad he did

I have lived in the Cincinnati Ohio metro area my entire life. I have definitely noticed a higher number of confirmed tornadoes in the past 20 years or so. I remember racing home to beat an early July storm, which ended up producing the 2022 Goshen Ohio EF-2 tornado. This summer storm developed very quickly. June and July are the two months of the year when tornadoes seem to be the most common in the Ohio Valley.
