Election Results 2024 Live: BJP Set For Hat Trick in Haryana, NC-Congress Well Ahead in J&K

Haryana, J&K Election Results 2024 Live Updates: With counting of votes in the final stages, the BJP looks set to form a government for the third time in Haryana. The National Conference-Congress alliance is comfortably placed in Jammu and Kashmir.

Within an hour of the start of the counting it became clear that exit poll projections would be proved wrong. The Congress which was leading in Haryana in the first hour quietly slipped to second spot and stayed there for the rest of the day. In J&K, the Omar Abdullah-led NC-Congress combine belied predictions of a hung House.

The BJP is aiming for a hat trick in Haryana in the face of a strong challenge from a rejuvenated Congress. Most exit polls had predicted a significant win for the Congress in Haryana, projecting 50-58 seats for the party.
