Tying a Figure-8 on a Bight

HOW TO TIE A FIGURE-8 ON A BIGHT
Form a bight in the rope and place it in your left palm, with the bight away from you.
Grasp the working end from between the rope and left arm.
Bring the working end of the rope around the back of your left hand and follow the fingers, from the wrist to the tips, through the loop.
Tighten the knot by pulling on both ends.
