What is with the media’s obsession With trying to paint a picture that Islam hold someone back. Ramadan is the most holiest month and if people can restrain from food for a month they can restrain from going on a date.

Love how the director is willing to create something like this, no matter the backlash it will get. Very brave. Obviously there are some hot takes on this, so ill give mine. While the movie may not portray your religion in the way you view it, it does in someone else's eye. Nobody follows Islam the same. Same goes for basically every abrahamic religion. I know about Islam. I consider myself a muslim. How will you put someone down for love when really YOUR religion tells you to be kind? You concentrate all this hate and anger, use all your energy on something you shouldnt. Just to harm people. You will never feel empathy for them. You will never show sympathy. You dont know how it feels. All you will do is put people down, and make yourself feel better about your religious standpoint. You speak of an individual burning in hell for what theyve done. Who are you to judge that? Your ticket to hell might be a little more heated than someone who is part of LGBTQ. Nobody knows. So to my people who are struggling with their religion intertwining with their feelings, follow your heart. To the people who are putting those people down, find someplace in your heart to make a space for them. Feel what they feel. Maybe you might change your mind

When you try to put religion in a good picture try to do it in the right way! Bringing the forbidden manners in Islam and make it like it should be like this, making Ramadan like it's some kind of a Joke, IT IS a BIG NO!
I respect other views and religions as much I want ppl to respect my religion( this is the world I want to live in)! Doing a film like this you’re insulting Islam and Muslims! And This is disgusting...
non-Muslims won’t get this, so please don't interfere with my comment!

My favorite part was when Finger said "WALTUH PUT YOUR D AWAY"

No being so mean to an religion in a movie like that is unacceptable, you have to respect the religion first and the Muslim community, trying to normalise this to them in such a way using their religion isn't nice from you .
Leave the Muslim community alone ! And stop being so disrespectful !!

This movie was so good. I wish there were more movies about a white guy and an Arab guy together. We need more

Do not say “peace” ☮️ when you “cannot accept” ❌ differences

Do not say “love” ❤️ when all you do is “judging” 🖊people

Do not say “sin” 🗣 when all you think is “punishment” ⚰️ for those who politely disagree

And do not consider yourself as a “religious” 🕌 ⛪️ 🕍 ⛩when your heart is full of hell fire 🔥

What people believe 1000 of years ago doesn’t mean it is still right in these days, we were believing that the world was flat, and new generations proved them wrong”

Check out all these "tolerant" muslims hating on two actors. Can you tell how peaceful and tolerant Islam is?

All these so called Muslims commenting against this film, you do realise that you don't have to watch this film, right?
Doesn't your Quran give you a choice?

I hope this will be available for streaming on a major platform because I'm not sure that theaters will be open in January, or that my local theaters will carry it.

They're trying to make you feel they know Islam, while the whole story proves that they know nothing. Thank God for the grace of mind.

I totally understand why straight Muslims will be upset by this. I’m a 25 year old man from a Muslim family, who is also attracted to men. I’m not sure what my future holds. I don’t want to get married to another girl and ruin BOTH of our lives when she could have a man who truly sexually loves her. Seeing this is like a dream, even though yes it’s wrong. What’s the solution? What are Muslims who are attracted to the same gender suppose to do? Get married or stay single forever? Why doesn’t anyone give an actual answer or solution instead just scrutinising us?

Tons of Oscar will not change our religion. No matter how much you try. we are always Muslim, follow and respect our religion.
