In the early 2000s, there were no more than a handful of breakers around India. A few years on, through the rise of social media and easier access to the internet, the scene began to pick up - more battles and jams were being organised, crews were being formed and breakers from around the world began to visit. Today, less than two decades later, the breaking scene in India is flourishing. Watch the story of breaking in India in this documentary.

Red Bull BC One is the biggest one-on-one Breaking competition in the world. Every year, thousands of dancers across the globe vie for a chance to represent at the World Final. Sixteen B-Boys & B-Girls earn the right to enter into an all-out battle on the Red Bull BC One stage, but only one will be crowned the champion.

Good stuff! But the scene from Delhi and Northeast is missing! Without interview from Bboy Et, Bboy Bunny & Bgirl AmB Bboy Nishant, (PSD Crew), Bboy Kim(Shillong), Bboy BR the documentary seems incomplete.

Wow! That was really inspiring, they created this whole scene with nothing. Especially tornados story, hip hop is all about healing!

This is a well-done production and these stories are important. However, this film almost entirely documents male voices, and miserably fails to represent B-girls (Amb, Amy, Eden, Shadow, Ritu, Shawty Pink, Flowraw, Mgk, Shellza, Sumku, Musiq and more) all of whom are currently competing or have contributed greatly to the scene (like the other Bboys featured). While the world is creating space for women in the breaking community, this film doesn't seem to do that. The film has also entirely overlooked breaking communities in the North East, South India and their part in the history that has created opportunities in breaking today.

this is great, good to see hera simon and akku acknowledged. but where are the gen 2 bgirls? bgirl musiq ran bombay. that period where breaking was at a crossroads, certain crews kept it alive and going and she had a big hand in that. pretty sure she was in India when some of these scenes were shot. it's a loss not to include their perspective and stories. am-b, shawty pink, ritu. would've been cool to see them
