Here’s why we all need to stay connected: I’m a truck driver and there is no shortage of truck drivers. There are driver piled up in the ports waiting to get loaded. They’re not loading the trucks. Something else is going on but it’s not the workers.

Sir gammon, this video should be watched by everyone twice or more per day until people understand where the world is heading into.
What a simplified, beautiful way to let the average people understand what basic economics is.
Greetings from Lebanon, Beirut to you and to all your followers.

I am from Eastern Europe. I have my own house and 4500 m2 of land where I grow different kinds of vegetables and fruits.
My house is equipped with solar system and water/rain collectors.
Heating is good old fashion wood stove (I have large private forest in the mountain area my grandpa left me as an inheritance).
I always felt like I am "Hillbilly" from American movies, but these days I find it to be a blessing :)

One of my suppliers has raised their prices on an item I use by 50% since May. I placed another order today and they told me the item is backordered with no known date of it being back in stock.

Another supplier told me they are about to run out of an item I use and they and its going to be atleast 4 months before they are restocked.

Another supplier told me yesterday they only have enough supply for 25% of my order with no known restock date.

Every supplier I use is running into almost the same problem. Higher prices, little on hand supply and unknown dates for restock.

Time to get creative and be flexable as well as cut back on frivioulous purchases. I think next year is going to be challenging

It’s not shortage of drivers, they won’t load the drivers over CV restrictions, especially in CA, LA, etc.

This is all being done on purpose. If this was a movie it would be called “America’s Race to the Third World”

Just remember...the Titanic struck an iceberg at around 23:40 (ship's time) & sank two hours and forty minutes later at 02:20. They didn’t bring out the lifeboats (creating panic) until 10 mins before the ship completely sank. Until that time, they were playing music and serving drinks. Not to mention, there weren’t enough lifeboats for everyone aboard.

No shortage of willing truck drivers. Due to California pollution law, 70% of diesel trucks cannot pick up Containers in CA. Long Beach and LA have reduced transportation from port due to this situation. .

As a trucker myself, I do not believe there is a driver shortage... If you do not park before 5 pm, the chances of finding a place gets very difficult. Also, the highways and byways are full of tractor trailers... I move goods to and from California every week and the amount of semis in the LA valley is truly an amazing sight to see. My understanding is that the port drivers are all there to move the freight; however, the ports are not accepting the empty containers. So the port drivers show up with their trailer, the port loads them with a full container, the driver moves the container to the shipper (which is usually just a very short drive away) where they unload them the moment they get there then a carrier like myself moves the freight around the nation. Now the port driver would normally drive back to the port to remove the empty container and get a full one but the ports are not taking the empties right now. So now the trucking carrier has to find a way to remove and store the empty containers...

There are videos of truck drivers just waiting at the ports. It’s not the truck drivers that is the problem

Thanks for the analysis…and for clearly bringing this to light…I work in food supply chain…it’s been exhausting…and we do not have a clear end in sight. Each day we hear from manufacturers who are struggling to get components & ingredients to make food, plus they can’t get labour to make the goods…!!! The costs are rising by rates not being reported to the general public accurately. It’s a complete mess, and my team is burning out, trying to manage through all of this. It is a REAL concern that people aren’t seeing because it hasn’t hit the retail shelves quite yet…but…it’s coming…!!!

It still surprises me that this high quality content is free, I'd being paying a fortune for this in university and I have a feeling it wouldn't be up to the same standards.

I'm one of those people who quit their jobs. I invested in one of the meme stocks earlier in the year and thanks to the Fed pumping money into the economy for short hedge funds to make stupid bets with, I was able to make some fat stacks. My job involved upgrading IT infrastructure for one of the branches of the military and my previous employer is HURTING. My former boss actually called me and asked me to come back but since they'll require me to get the "medicine" they can go pound sand. Not sure what I'll do but I have plenty of time to think about it. For now I'm content with sitting on the sidelines and watching as the world burns.

Hyperinflation on the horizon. I mean its one thing to shutdown businesses that were "non essential", but to just shutdown/prohibit the supply chain itself while you outsourced your production is just either diabolical or very stupid.

George, this is THE best post I have ever seen and I’ve been watching you, Martin North, Steve Van Metre and others over the past few years. I’m not taking anything away from any of those people who post content with economic and social importance; I think you all do a fantastic job of bringing valuable information and truth to those of us searching for more than the main stream media rubbish. This puts everything into perspective in such a logical, rational way. I would love every politician in Australia to watch this; and then promptly resign.

The actions the state and federal government is taking can’t possibly be due to incompetency… it must be purposefully.
