Wingman, I don’t agree with your advice to the old fart.I think he should sell the RV to a young family just starting out camping so they can make some good memories .At 74 and by himself he might enjoy a smaller unit a lot better. A smaller unit will be a lot easier for him to maneuver at his age where his eyesight and physical abilities might not be the best.Just my opinion.

At 74, it’s no time to be buying another RV. He probably has it paid off. And will probably not get enough to get a huge down payment on a smaller new camper. If he tries a private sale, most buyers will probably talk him down in price. Also, Why take on more debt. Enjoy the RV you have. Make the small repairs until you can’t get parts. I totally agree with the wise RV Wingman!

I think Carl could take the time to research and get a slightly newer and smaller Rockwood rv. That would be less to handle and maintain. He could do a rv inspection on a newer rv. He could potentially be more comfortable in a slightly smaller rv and still be happy and not need a big truck. I think Carl could just take time to find a slightly newer and rv. He could use your buying and selling Rv report to help him sell his current one.
