Was always taught that the cup of trembling is Jerusalem until I went to the best teacher, better than any of my college professors and now my pastor. He clearly showed that sop is not cup but bowl and trembling is shaking. Using jewish sources and LLX, plus sop is never translated cup anywhere but vs. 3. He spent 3 hrs on references. If you look cup is circular reasoning, it is translated cup because of Zech, and then it says see Zech. Amos and Judges 16 talk about shaking, this is the door way that Samson brought down and the temple Amos condemns. Imagery is different and thematic. But everyone who reads this will just believe their past belief without deeply looking into the translation errors.
