About Singularity:
In 2020, Elias van Dorne (John Cusack), CEO of VA Industries, the world's largest robotics company, introduces his most powerful invention--Kronos, a super computer designed to end all wars. When Kronos goes online, it quickly determines that mankind, itself, is the biggest threat to world peace and launches a worldwide robot attack to rid the world of the "infection" of man. Ninety-seven years later, a small band of humans remain alive but on the run from the robot army. A teenage boy, Andrew (Julian Schaffner) and a teenage girl, Calia (Jeannine Wacker), form an unlikely alliance to reach a new world, where it is rumored mankind exists without fear of robot persecution. But does this world actually exist? And will they live long enough to find out?

This was completed a while back from what I remember... I saw the first trailer for it a few years ago, back when it was called Aurora. Pretty sure it was crowdfunded and/or made on a very low budget.

In that trailer... there was not even a hint of John Cusack. I can only assume they managed to sell the rights to a studio or distributor and they decided to do re-shoots with a recognisable name to increase the potential for a reasonable return.

I just hopped in an H.G Wells time machine and traveled to the future to see how this film will do.
(Here’s my report).This movie goes direct to video, the lead (female protagonist) will win the Razzi award for her performance, and after Rotten Tomato’s final single digit rating John Cusack will do a major gut check and after deep soul searching and analysis as to the state of his career he goes to his garage closes the door behind him, gets into his car cranks the ignition, roles down the windows reclines his seat closes his eyes and inhales deeply. (I don’t know if he followed thru I couldn’t bare to watch and returned to this time to give this report.)
