I'm glad he mentioned QBism as a possibility.

Philosopher's view of quantum mechanics is not only meaningless, the view of many Physicists are even weirder, and even more meaningless.

With the greatest of respect to the lecturers, to my mind the simplest explanation for the Measurement Problem is that the observer is entangled with the wave function at issue.

I'm more worried about the changing projection image on the boards behind David changing during close ups to long shots.

There exists a classical theory of "quantum" mechanics which models the Uncertainty Principle as classical Brownian motion on the scale of Planck's constant. A diatomic gas would be modelled in five dimensions of Euclidean space and the piston which restrains it would also have a bit of classical Brownian motion. If we replace this by a proper quantum theory then the gas has some tachyonic Brownian motion in a vast number of dimensions of configuration space, but it is no change for the piston because the piston is heavier than the Planck mass. The piston is now observing the gas, being the interaction between two different types of Brownian motion. Everett's interpretation has nothing to say about all this because it does not distinguish quantum mechanics from classical Brownian motion.

There isn't a needle that takes a position. There is a detector that clicks.

Many-worlds seems incoherent to me. Isn’t it to take the wave function seriously as ontologically accurate but then it says the probabilities of a superposition are all realised in different worlds. It just defines the collapse as the partition of reality into different “worlds” but then within each world we are left with the problem: how can QM be complete when the probability went from a percentage to 1.

There is something more fundamental missing. The crisis continues.

A lot of smart people are awkward. My theory is that this is so because the region of the brain responsible for abstract thought and higher mental activity is more extensive at the expense of other regions of the brain responsible for bodily and social coordination.

Philosophers are a pain. There is no "measurement problem"'. Philosophers are the problem. They love nonsense metaphysics.

The Universe is a computer and the minimum energy principle in a sense of information processing is the cause of QM phenomena.

Because Professor Rovelli has organised the positioning of his fully informed arguments in the nearest to accurately accepted Maths-Philosophy evidence of (Spinfoam bubble-mode Totality), Temporal Actuality.., I do not accept the implied diminution of this position by addressing him by his given name, which leads to the unscientific impression that he has provided "only" his personal opinion rather than the authority of licence by Peers, to state that specific position.
