DMR Range Test Part 1 of 3 - Baofeng DM-5R

This is the first of a series of 3 videos. In the series I am doing a range test of three different DMR radios from two locations. One location is 11km away and the other almost 19km away. In this video, I am testing the range of the Baofeng DM-5R.

Thx Sir for the demonstrations of these HT radios capabilities, I am a novice & my lack of knowledge lead me to make common mistakes of choosing the most suitable radio. I have bought a variant of the BaoFeng UV5R that claims to be 10 watts transmission capable which is absolutely fraudulent, I am searching for an 8-10 watts radio possibly Tri/Quad band but will be satisfied with a Yaesu, please give your opinion.

# Question 2: J'ai vu que la batterie du Baofeng DM-5R était proéminente contrairement au Baofeng UV-5R.

Sur le Baofeng RD-5R peut-on mettre une plus petite batterie, ou bien celle du Baofeng UV-5R?

radio to radio is only 2km radio to homebase antenna is 16km to 25km

Thank you for your video. Have you interested, if any shorter antenna will be good for baofeng dm-5r? Original long antenna in some circumstances is not very convenient.

Whats the difference between this radio and UV5R???

UV R5 is only Analog but DM-R5 or Dm-R5 plus is DMR but DM-R5 is DMR tier 1 how is working with your radio in home ??? or u upgrade to tire II
