Показать описание
The Aztecs (also known as Mexica) founded the city of Tenochtitlan, which today is Mexico City. Tenochtitlan became the Aztecs' capital in Mexico's northern and central part from 1345 A.D. to 1521 A.D. The Aztec calendar was a system of time measurement used by the Aztec civilization. And in 1517, the first Spanish explorers arrived in Mexico, and by 1521 they had captured and destroyed Tenochtitlan, marking an end to the Aztec civilization. The Aztec Calendar has become a symbol of culture, beauty, and difficult times of Mexican heritage. The sculpture now rests, and can be view at the Museo Nacional de Antropologia, in Mexico City, Mexico.
