Soo, There I was walking down the main street in Upton Upon Severn (Blues Festival 2019) and I heard this amazing guitar player, just his guitar, practise amp, and some other electronic stuff on a little trolley thingummy. I stood and listened for probably an hour/ 2 pints, sent the wife I didnt want to miss anything hahaha. Anyway found out he was playing a gig at the campsite stage that night which is where I was staying. Well what can I say, for me its not what he plays, its how he plays it, seems like he can play anything, but for me his blues numbers were simply outstanding. He deserves a slot on one of the main stages hopefully next year.

Such an emotional tune....and played with so much emotion ....Mark Knopfler would be proud...

Fabulous job sir!!!! Your voicing are amazing. Your use of double stops is terrific!

Heavenly playing ! What an interpreter!I've never heard anyone beat Mark Knopfler at his own work. Mark Allen just did that. And Knopfler is a genius so what does that make Mr Allen?

Have you ever heard anything like this ? This man plays on the streets. He should play on the biggest stages. It’s beyond words.

Thank you Mark from New Zealand. You just get every little morsel of beauty out of that guitar to bring alive this fantastic cover. Gave me goose bumps.

Listening to this while recovering from anhedonia (the inability to feel joy) it's a truly malicious malady. I feel your playing touch my soul and is inspiring me to.pick up my guitar and play my heart. Thank you Mark for sharing your gift with all of us.

I might be a sentimental bastard, but this makes me cry. No matter how hard life can be, beauty's never too far away!

I get lost in your passion.. your playing, the look on your face. You Mark are what music is meant to be about.. thankyou.. if Id come across you playing in the street I know I would have been stopped in my tracks, feet stuck to the spot, mouth open, belly reverberating with firey passion as you plucked the strings. I don't know how anyone could just walk on by. You are so gifted and real and I wish for you nothing but wonderful blessings, your music has quite clearly blessed so many of us. Much love, Carly from Australia down Under..

This man plays from the soul - exemplifies "music is the sound of our feelings" - thank you Mark Allen

For me his rock numbers where he makes that guitar sing and cry...theres nobody I have heard who can interpret like that. His mind is not actually in spacetime like the rest of us : he's got a line into quantum transcendence. I'm not messing ; I'm serious.

Absolutely bloody brilliant! It moved this old guy to tears!
