Thank you so much for your matte eye looks! As an older woman, I can use shimmery eyeshadows only in the mobile lid, anywhere else they magnify any small wrinkle or crease, ugh. Your looks are wonderful!

Honestly, when I work on shoots, and runways, my models always always comment if I used a MAC brush, saying it was scratchy so I've stopped using them all together. I completely enjoy this style of video. Conversational, relaxed, and giving us your individual thoughts on everything. As for what's been going on in my life, it's been crazy. Just had to do last minute prom makeup for my niece and now I'll be doing my boyfriends sisters wedding makeup and hair. It's so many things to wrap my head around all at once but it does give me a sense of satisfaction that I CAN do these things.

The Viseart Neutral 01 is one of favorite palettes. I truly think everyone needs this in their collection. I use it everyday in some form. I love the Theory palettes so much too- I combine them with the Neutral Mattes palette. Minx and Cashmere are my faves. And Viseart is brilliant for layering shadows without it looking muddy. And I agree that MAC brushes have gone downhill. I do like the new 221 brush- that one is goat hair and very soft. It's perfect for me since I have small eyes and it hugs my crease nicely.

I bought the Viseart Neutral palette on your recommendation, and it's honestly my prized makeup possession. Not only because it's pricey, but because the shadows are such good quality and there are an endless number of looks you can do with them.

I have been COMPLETELY obsessed with matte shadows as well.I also love the transformative uses mattes have. I have quite a similar eye shape to yours not  necessarily hooded but more of a heavy crease so I have a hard time doing my eye makeup and matte eye shadow really shapes my eye a lot better. Loved the video and honestly I think you are such a smart makeup artist. A lot of gurus here on youtube do the craziest makeup mistakes and preach them to young girls so you have all these girls making these horrid makeup mistakes but you honestly look at what you are doing and determine whether it is flattering or not. LOVED IT :)
