The New GP-1 oil is uniquely formulated from true Pennsylvania Grade Petroleum. The distinct properties of Pennsylvania grade base oil compounded with select synthetic components provide a higher Pressure-Viscosity Coefficient for excellent High Temperature-High Shear (HTHS) stability for increased film thickness; combined with Driven’s high zinc (ZDDP) additive package GP-1 delivers a synergetic chemical balance, producing optimum engine protection.

I was fortunate to learn from one of the best in the Ford Engine building business as I was growing up during the sixties. It was Gene Wilson and he was also my oldest brother which made the learning curve even better. He taught me everything from Nitro fueled 427 SOHC (Cammers) to the 427 Hi-Risers that powered the Thunderbolt Fairlanes in Phil Bonner’s Ford Drag Team.

He was definitely on the cutting edge of Drag Racing Performance and on the subject of engine oil, he insisted on using any premium brand that was refined from Pennsylvania Grade Crude Oil. He definitely wasn’t a petrochemical engineer but by the time he finished explaining the in depth technical reasons why Pennsylvania crude and its refined product was vastly superior to everything else available at the time, it became apparent that he did his homework on the subject.

Was planning on using Schaefer’s micron-moly until now actually already have three cases of it. Now I’m wondering if I need to use driven GP-1 instead. In my Ls supercharged engine (1300hp pump gas)!

What brand oil filter do you recommend? It looks like you're using WIX in the video, but is that Driven's standard brand when testing, or just for the video? I'm running an air cooled vw engine, with a remote oil cooler and filter. Great videos and product!

Is this adequate for a high performance racing motorcycle?

Can you please clarify? I use DT 40 in my 2006 Boxster S. This was recommended by Charles Navarro at LN Engineering. Which is the better oil in my car GP-1 or DT40?
