All I do is work hard and fail. Some of us are just failures. Ill get past this and ill keep working hard. But I continue to fail. I lost a child after promising him that he would live. And we never got him out of that hospital. I was divorced shortly after that as my wife met someone else. I moved to a dump that I can barely afford. I do everything that I can for my other two children but I can't help but to think that they look at me as if im a failure. I pay $13, 000 a year in child support and $400 a month in music lessons. This house is trash compared to their moms house. It's hard to work and fail and know that others watch. I used to be so positive, but now I am weak and any set back makes me pathetic. I just can't get back to the man I was before. Im sorry for all of you that are struggling and I promise ill stop feeling sorry for myself and I will keep going.

Y'know, this is something I constantly worry about: "Is failure wasting time? Is it possible to fail to the point you can't try again? Can I afford to fail? Why should I fail if it feels so terrible?"
Then in watching this I remembered a quote: "failure isn't the 'going down, ' but the *staying* down." I forget who said it, but thanks for reminding me.

spent 8 months in the DEP, was locked in. Was at bootcamp to just get entry level discharge. It was the biggest low of my life. Decided to get a waiver and now i’m spending my 2 years to gain experience in the police academy before returning.
