This was a delightful haul! I've had my eye on this publisher for a while, but haven't ordered anything yet. I quite agree with you - they all look lovely! I might look into getting their editions of In Praise of Folly, Madame Bovary and - having perused their website - their Dante collection too!

Great books, great recommendations ....most I have not read. Right now any one of them would be welcome as I sleep through "Prisoner of Zenda", I think I would be more entertained and challenged reading the "Beano" or the "Dandy" . Great haul, well done!!

This a great haul! I don’t known this edition. The covers are really beautiful. I am very intrigued by the Gontcharov books. I know Oblomov (though I have not read it), but I didn’t know about his other books. I thought he was a one hit wonder. (The “ch” is pronounced with a “t”, like in Tchaikovsky. The throat sound is normally transliterated in English as “kh”).

My friend has read Oblomov and she absolutely raved about it. I have only heard good things!

It’s been a while since I read _Oblomov_ in the Magarshack translation (Penguin). At that time it was impossible to get anything else by Goncharov, which I desperately wanted, because it was a marvelous book.

Such interesting books! The cover designs are great. I’m very fond of Victorian era ghost stories and didn’t know Dumas wrote them. Can’t wait for your review of Oblomov. It’s on my list. Loved seeing Elvis and his smiling face.
