The price for sure. If it was cheaper than actual meat then theres no reason why it wouldn't sell.

Yeah that’s great but, I’m not paying $49.99 for 6 drumsticks because they were made in a lab.

Using pre-cancer/cancer cells as the base, sorry, I mean immortalized cells and tons of antibiotics to produce them. Hmmm...

Aside from visceral reactions and personal taste (e.g., “lab grown meat” sounds repugnant and evokes vivid dystopian scenarios, especially for me as a vegetarian), what makes this a better alternative to vegetarianism? Practically, is it more sustainable?

If it was marketed like yogurt or kefir I could see possibly wrapping my head around it eventually...maybe.

If everyone switches to lab grown meat and it scales up where dose the biomass come from if not ultimately from living things

Did Do- gooders in many of the cities in the United States and as an example al pick Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, some of them don’t want any deer hunted for meat. I can certainly understand how they feel. However they have a problem and the problem is that there are too many deer for the amount of food that is available. Show the deer are coming into residential areas and eating their shrubs and flowers. They want to know what can be done about that. It will be interesting to find out if someone doesn’t want beef any longer and a herd of cows and steers are left loose so they don’t have to be fed, what is going to happen next over a decade? Do you think that roosters getting with hens are not going to produce lots of eggs that end up producing, “wait for it“, more chickens?

Id rather eat real chicken and pigs, not cells produced in a lab

Why stop with chicken? I'd like some lab grown cruelty free human meat

You eat it, and after some years of eating this "lab meat" you tell us about your health.

I think it's cool that we've advanced so far in this but what will happen to the cows once they're no use to us will they just be let go and what about farmers? Will they have to adapt to something a lot more costly just because some people don't want to kill an animal that is mass produced in almost the entire world??? What will be the consequences of these actions and how will it benefit us entirely not just the rich but everyone

The question is what type of sicknesses in the future will these new meat develop?
Everything has a consequence.🤔.
