My dad gave me this camera to take with me to school in AZ back in 85/86. Love that camera and it is the reason why I love Nikon today. As long as I kept my finger out of the lens, I never took a bad pic and I'm dying for another one.

Got one at Goodwill for 49 cents. As far as I know, perfect condition. I bought it just because I thought it looked cool, but upon further examination I realized that it works! Have yet to get film for it. Can't wait to get it shooting!

Just picked one up for 3.99 at Goodwill. Loaded it with T-Max 100 and can't wait to see how the prints come out. Im a Nikon guy to begin with so when i saw this and the price had to snatch it up.

One of my favorite point and shoot cameras.  I would carry that or a Nikon Action Touch when I didn't want to carry anything larger. I put a Nikon 46mm L35 filter on mine and usually carried a lens hood along on sunny days.  Fantastic lens for that type of cameras and I've made 11x14's using Tri-X with very good results.

Thanks for a great review. Found my Nikon L35AF at a consignment shop in town for $5! I didn't even know what it was until I picked it up and felt its weight. Having a lot of fun with it! Really nice photos, great quality of light. Fun using film again and having to wait for the outcome. ;)

I just got one of these for £1, functional and in as good condition as yours appears to be :) looking forward to trying it out! Its my first film camera since digital became a thing, and i was only a child last time i used film

It also has a backlight compensation switch of about + 2 EV on the side of the lens. If anyone was wondering what that was...

It looks a lot like the Minolta Hi-matic AF2-M I have, I think I might start making video reviews as well, keep making videos, love watching these.

I don't have this particular camera, but I like Kodak Ektar for colour prints, Fuji Velvia for slides and most Ilford and Kentmere films for black and white. Any speed up to ISO1000 will work with the L35AF

I have an L135af, can anyone tell me why the film will not wind automatically when I load it? It just flashes a red light in the viewfinder

Thank you for the correction and sorry for not including that in the video.

I doubt anyone is going to reply to me, but I can't find anything else online for this problem. When I got the Nikon One Touch, it came with no film inside and the exposure meter on 24, it goes up to 36. I took exposures until it hit 36 and basically wasted a whole roll of film. I got a used roll of film and put it in to rewind it back to exposure 1, but I didn't make it all the way, only to around 21 or so. Now the meter is slightly past 36 and I'm afraid that if I load up another roll of film it isn't going to go back to exposure 1 and will remain at 36. Is there ANY way possible I can get it back to exposure 1 so I can actually take pictures and use a whole roll of film? This camera is fantastic and I really would like to use it.
