Badlands. A race renowned for its diverse landscapes and attracting some names well known from within and outside of the sport. From deserts to forests, coasts to summits, Badlands has it all. And all the drama. 2022 is my second time at the race, tackling on probably the most beautiful and brutal ultra race out there. In this 5 part video series, I'll be showing you the highs and lows of taking part in Badlands. In this video, we cover bike fitting for Ultra Races with the help of Dan at UK Bike Fit. Thanks to Schwalbe, Shimano, Cervélo and Tailfin for helping to fund this documentary series.

The following companies (that you'll see in my content) support me either financially or with free stuff, so huge thanks to these guys for helping me with the challenges I take on:

Attacus Cycling, Cervélo, Lazer Helmets, Shimano, Schwalbe Tires, Parcours Wheels, Sungod Eyewear, Tailfin Cycling, Komoot, Styrkr

Such a cool bike, and the front end looks mint with the light on the front bag. Everything looks purpose built and not like a bodge. 👌🏻🤙🏻

There was something incredibly therapeutic about watching that. Amazing (droolworthy) kit and good tunes!

That is a very tidy set-up, like the front bag and lights all tucked in together, and an interesting mix on the drivetrain parts.Nice to be able to see a close up of the bike and all the bits. Cheers Chief and Jack for filming.

Wow, very enjoying to watch, indeed the build-up looks like a nice stage, especially if stuff fits nicely! Lol, those valve caps!

would love to know more about how the gearing worked out as well as how the shifting worked with the garbaruk cassette and qtr rear mech with the wolf tooth hanger?

I would argue that, ideally, ultra specific bike setup should be completed months before the actual events. For gravel ultra distance its Probably a bit less crutial than ultra distance on TT bikes, but i think the body needs time to adapt either way. :)
