Antonov An-22 Sound - overfly 26.000!

Recorded sound of Antonov An-22 in-flight cruising at 26.000 feet. As heard from the ground!!!
Please notice the recorfing/filming was made on a highway rest area with few people around...

The filming performed on 30 October 2019 and the flight was ADB-3212 from Larnaca to Madrid-Torrejón over Peloponnese, Greece.

I can remember years ago, me and some friends were playing football, and we all stopped "what is that noise?" far above us was an AN-22, we stood and watched in awe, the noise was incredible .

The low frequency and turboprop is what causes to sound very loud, an AN-22 can be heard as much as 40, 000ft and 10 miles away with your ears.

I heard this again, this time in a huge speaker with LOTS of base and FULL volume to experience a REALISTIC AN-22 sound!!!!

Loudest turboprop ever. I heard it 3 days ago from 40 km. Absolutely amazing sound. Louder brother of AN-12 :)

It flew over my house at 20.000 ft yesterday, that sound gives me chills! I could still hear it 5 minutes later

I know it’ s crazy that’s exactly how this aircraft sounds! Even at 23000 feet and it is quite slow about 300 knots ~550 km/h. And it was built in 1974!!

I used to hear this sound and I knew it must have been an antonov. Just didnt know it was an an-22

That sound brings back memories from the 60s when those 130s flew over our farm constantly when Vietnam was in full swing. It's kind of haunting really. I got drafted shortly thereafter. First time in a long time since I heard that sound.
