House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, scheduled the hearing to highlight rising crime in New York during what he called the politically motivated prosecution of Trump. But Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg contends violent crime is actually down in the city.

The clash between the Manhattan district attorney who indicted Donald Trump and House Republicans who defend the former president continues Monday when Congress is back in session with a congressional hearing about crime in New York. House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, scheduled the hearing to highlight rising crime in New York during what he called the politically motivated prosecution of Trump. But Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg contends violent crime is actually down in the city.

The hearing is the latest escalation of accusations stemming from the unprecedented 34 felony charges of falsifying business records against Trump. It's just one of many conflicts Congress faces this week as both chambers return from a two-week recess. A lot has happened since lawmakers' last day on Capitol Hill, which was the same day the former president was indicted. He has since been arraigned and charged.

Focus in the task at hand. Stop disregarding the people's claims and don't make this a trump show. This hearing is about the people of NYC addressing there crime experiences and trying to get there voice heard. NYC is never safe, you ain't safe from the criminals and you ain't safe from the law. Something needs to be done we would like to hear the truth not your political cat and dog fight. Focus on the job or resign and stop being a waist of pay.

never been to NYC, but I go to Dayton and Columbus OH, and their crime is bad. Jordan needs to worry about his own state. Their crime per capita is about 16%, NY's is about 6%, give or take.
So the crime rate, based on the population of Ohio, is far worse than NYC
