A leak of classified documents detailing secret US & NATO plans to help Kyiv looked like a Russian disinformation operation to sow doubts about Ukraine's planned counter-offensive, a Ukrainian presidential official said on Friday. Mykhailo Podolyak told Reuters that the leaked data reported by the New York Times on Thursday contained a "very large amount of fictitious information" and that Russia was trying to seize back the initiative in its invasion. Elisabeth Braw, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, spoke to FRANCE 24’s François Picard about the leaked documents that appeared on Twitter and Telegram, expressing concern over the motivations behind this “disturbing” leak and broader questions of information security and literacy in the digital age.

We learned nothing from this interview. It's not the host's fault. The guest was too busy self-censoring. She said nothing of useful value after the first 10 seconds.

if the plans are on youtube, then they're not classified enough to be classified as "classified". ;)

This is war. If I were Ukraine, I would leak "documents" to confuse the enemy. Hope this is correct. Go Ukraine, GO. We love you. Canada

The lady says: "There's nothing scandalous in the leak..." 🙂 it seems like they know how much was been exposed and how many documents still hidden

How do we know parts of them have been doctored?

It is interesting to observe how the pros and cons of the rapidly advancing IT & WWW is playing out, with one of the cons being that such impressive technological advantage now finds most of us swimming in an ocean of fake information and confusion 24/7. Fortunately, one of the pros is that the said same technology enables the truth of observable, objective facts to come bubbling up to the surface of this ocean of confusion; sooner or later.

These reporters can make 10 seconds of information take up 2 minutes of talk time.

Fun fact the U.S. had a plan to invade Canada before WW2. Plans are made for these types of things all the time.

Unless the leak was intentional. Or maybe they expected that we would think that it was intentional. They probably thought we would think that as well and their intention was that we would think that it was intentional for us to think that it was unintentional. Unless that was their plan all along

Did she say that we should need a certification before share information on social media? Like we need some kind of thought-police maybe?

Skip this one. They don't tell you what the docs say. 8 minutes of rambling. Waste of our time.

Why can't I get a straight analysis on this?

Yeah, not good. But at least people will finally stop thinkng that the information in the public about the war is all that there is.

How do these people know if these are fake or not? If don’t, stop speculating.
