Soft Rock really didn’t become a thing until the late 60s and really took off in the early 70s. All those songs from Buddy Holly and Elvis aren’t soft rock. They were just rock during that period. Just because a song doesn’t feature a screaming guitar doesn’t mean it’s soft rock. That said, I still really enjoy your videos. You show videos clips I don’t see anywhere else, so even though I may not agree with all of your picks, please continue putting the videos out.

Soft rock was born after the 60s music era. The sound uses more of the stringed instruments. Vocals are clear, relaxed and not much screaming. Tempo is usually mid between slow and fast, and not for dancing.

Love this music. Classics all the way. They don't make this kind of music anymore what a shame❤

Where’s Olivia Newton-John?? Probably the top female artist doing soft rock in the ‘70s and ‘80s, yet songs like “Magic”, “A Little More Love” and “Have You Never Been Mellow” don’t make the list?

They are so delightful, you could never have enough listening these great tracks, if you consider that some of these EPIC music stars are already saved in our heart database, yeah only Elton John has other hundred sweet songs more, it's almost scary how huge is our brain memory, and there's still plenty of room for more, let's dedicate this gorgeous compilation young generations that need to feel just fine like we used to be as teenagers...an eternity ago ❤🎉❤

There are quite a few soft rock songs here. I love this genre. I’m glad Buddy Holly was included. Who cares if all the songs aren’t considered soft rock, just listening is taking me back to the best of times!

Some epic tunes listed here. Interestingly nothing post 1990. A few contenders of that era would be "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve and "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia. Nonetheless just looking at my Yacht Rock playlist here's the top 10 most played:

10.Reminsicing - Little River Band
9. One of these Nights - Eagles
8. Strange Magic - Electric Light Orchestra
7. I Saw the Light - Todd Rundgren
6. Lotta Love - Nicolette Larson
5. Moonlight Feels Right - Starbuck
4. How Long - Ace
3. Magic - Olivia Newton-John
2. Dreams - Fleetwood Mac
1. Year of the Cat - Al Stewart
