I made a G703 Superlight

Our professional gamer once again shows us that he is indeed a man of few talents as he takes us on a journey to create the ultimate end game gaming mouse! The G703 is just too heavy for our reviewer as he struggles to pick up his bag of pick n mix filled with fizzy cola bottles. So can he modify the best mouse of all time in to something a bit more manageable?

the black housing of the ribbon cable on my g703 popped off too. Its not ez but it does pop back in i had to use some tweazers to do it

This is fantastic, I modded a Anyware 3s mouse with smaller battery and 3D printed battery holder, saved 6 grams and spend more than I should have, but you know what, it was dam worth it because I

Have tried this on other mice myself, and usually found that the only significant weight reduction I could do was snapping off redundant plastic support pieces or drilling holes in the mouse (not recommended unless you have actual good tools.).

I went back to this mouse from the Superlight 2. My K/d is relatively more consistent with the g703, but the mouse overall is very comfortable

I actually like the weight of the G703! I really missed the weight when moved from it to a Roccat Kone Pro, as the mouse was just way too light for me - to the point that I'm currently using a Basilisk V2 instead.

I'm looking forward to eventually picking up G502 X wired, as the weight is ideal for my tastes - and G502 Hero was actually too heavy for me - but they really dropped the ball with the cable!!

Actually can you do a cable mod for the wired G502 X??

Did you actually try to weigh it after the mods just to have an idea of the potential improvement? How much was the weight afterward?

i took out the wireless magnets and cable as well as the light diffuserwhich is the white thing under the palm part of the mouse. its not bad. i had problems with t he cable too but not that much lmfao im dying.

Don't worry man atleast there is a company named "Sprime Gaming Gear" who actually made a G703 inspired shape that is available for pre order now
