I do like her outfits and accessories but the 2nd dress should not have a velcro fastening. It should definitely be snaps or a zip, as you said. Clearly, quality control were asleep at the wheel with the two No.7 boxes, which is a pity. She is beautiful, though

I think she is very pretty. I love the brocade-like fabric, but yea velcro? I don't buy the 12 days of Christmas, kind of out of my budget, so I take a vintage thrifted doll and make her a magic outfit. Thats kind of my thing anyway, saving dolls. But lucky you to have three gorgeous Christmas dolls! Love your collection so much. Thanks ever so much for sharing!!!

I haven't opened mine up yet, but I agree with you it is definitely not worth $160. I fell in love with the doll-to me she resembles Grace Kelly or Lana Turner, so SOLD! LOL With that said I think a few more trinkets could have been added; let's face it, they aren't losing money by throwing in a few more, they're massed produced in China no doubt! I generally get these Holiday Barbie sets . I like the play value of them, in that instead of a doll in a box, you get outfit choices . I think this years in particular is a beautiful Barbie with a nod to vintage . I am planning on completely redressing mine ! Thank you for the unboxing ! I think Mattel will happily replace the number 7 issue . Merry Christmas !

I feel she is worth the $160. She just isn't worth me spending that much for her when I can use the money towards a vintage doll I really want. 😅

I got mine. I totally agree with your assessment. Stand for day 2 is disappointing and a total cop out. WTH is right about two 7 drawers. I would be on the phone SO fast. Gorgeous make up and hair. The rest is just meh. You echo my opinion for next year….will I get her, yes. Will I gripe about the cost and drawer 2, yes. However, I am hoping for a Mod Barbie in a mini with an aluminum Christmas tree and lucite grapes and fondue pot.
I vote year 2. She is beautiful and her “Dahling, I am your Auntie Barbie” outfit is stunning. Love that green. I displayed her with my Thanksgiving decor.

I have not purchased any of these because of the price point, but I would be really mad if after paying such a high cost my outfits came with velcro. If Mattel is going to make them look classic, they should extend the quality to the last detail and for me that means snaps on the clothes. They are cute though!

I did. Mine had a 3 drawer, but it was stuck with a bit of glue. I love the doll, especially the hairstyle and face sculpt. She's the first one I've received. Thank you for being honest. Again another great posts.
