I tried out for Delta after 6 years in the ranger regiment and 6 deployments under my belt. I made it to tryouts i made it all the way thru the tryout fir selection gave the best proformance i have ever given anything. I was confident i had a shot. After i finished they told.me good job but i didnt make it i asked if they could tell me where i failed so i can improve the dude with a straight face looked at me and said brother you failed in the first 10seconds but we wanted to see how u finished.. i was like really. Made me realize them dudes are cut from a cloth that dont even exist anymore.

As a Retired 0317 Marine I honestly think that Delta force, Navy Seals, MARSOC, Raiders, Army Rangers, Green Berets, etc.etc... is all fun and games to talk trash about each other and joke around but when the shit hits the fan everybody is RED WHITE AND BLUE period!!!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 thank you all for your service!!!

Heard once that "if you want the job done with no fuss, you call Delta... and if you you want it publicized on a best-seller, you call the SEALs" 💀💀😂😂

My Hats off to anyone that tried out for SOF....all you guys are cut from a different cloth all together. It's definitely not for everyone. I was a grunt, but always knew I didn't have what it took to be the Cream of the Crop in any SOF. I salute you all, and thank you for being the chosen few to answer the call.

SEALs get recruited for Delta not the inverse. Delta is about the most top tier SOF you can join from US military

DELTA ROCKS! I knew a few guys in Delta when stationed at Bragg not Ft. Liberty and they are great bunch of brothers. Salute!

I’m glad this is coming out, nothing against the seals but guys in combat arms all know this to be true!

My brother took a delta force guy out duck hunting, named "SOB" (sheriff of Baghdag), he has a YouTube channel with same name. But he told my brother that they don't select guys who are too ugly, nor too good looking, they want someone average looking to blend in better. Also said they shoot so many rounds and practice shooting, that he said they don't even aim anymore. They don't line up the sights, they just point and shoot. They get so good, they can look away from their target and still hit it every time. He said his supervisor got mad one day and said "What the hell yall been doing?!?! Yall only shot a million rounds this week?!?!

Ran delta members a couple times while active and as a military brat. They are a different breed of human. I always thought of them as the grim reaper.

He is spot on correct. I was tasked by Charlie Beckwith in 1977 to join COL Bob Mountel’s Blue Light Team while Charlie was developing and selecting men to stand up SFOD-D Delta. SEALS don’t have the same mission set as Delta. Their training is not as intense or varied. I’m a Master Parachutist w/ 2 combat stars, MFF FreeFall Parachutist, Combat Diver, etc. Special Forces Combat Diver training at Trumbo Point, Key West Florida is more intense than BUDS. Fewer students, higher washout rate. The Navy likes the advertising, hence so many SEAL movies. We Army guys take our name “The Quiet Professionals” seriously. We don’t talk about our clandestine activities.

Goggins flunked outta Delta alongside my own brother. It’s hard man. I don’t know what they did I just know they ended up in the same cabin somewhere & flew back.

I am not going to argue (cuz I don't know) but what he said about solo and group is absolutely accurate. I Know this for a FACT. I remember being smoked during boot camp and as a group... It didn't kill me anything like the individual smoke sessions. I'd bet I felt spent as an individual 4 times faster than in a group. So this line of discussion tracks with me.
