I’ve never seen Nuss get the ball close enough to Sampson to even touch it. So is it Nuss is not accurate or Sampson is not where Nuss expects him to be.

Maybe sampson is not ready yet! Green played majority WR in high school, when he got to lsu they projected him as a TE out of high school cause of his size but he is more fit for WR just go look at his senior highlights when he was at Zachary

I feel the same way abt Sampson. But maybe the coaches see/knw something we don't. But I definitely want to see him do good. They talked abt him highly in camp. Hopefully they give him more consistent pt

Shelton is struggling with route concepts I hear.

Sampson is no Chris Hilton replacement. He's not anywhere close to Hiltons top end speed. Sampson got by with his size and athleticism in HS. Not unheard of for a highly recruited player in HS to not pan out at the next level. Unfortunately at this level he consistently is in the wrong place on the field. He only got an opportunity on Saturday out of necessity due to Daniels being out. His one target on Saturday he broke inside on the play (right into the coverage) and Nuss threw the ball to the outside break. Just more of the same. He can't get on the field because he either doesn't know the offense, can't make quick decisions on his route tree during a live game rep (which is different than practice for sure), or just isn't able to perfect his route running well enough to get separation. So, it's not a huge question mark as to why he isn't on the field. He will transfer in the offseason because he's already been passed up in the WR room by a FR TE. And that says everything you need to know.

Shelton just need to get the routes concepts down and he will be fine . They say he the next one when he puts it all together. He will be fine .
