Review: Athearn Genesis 2.0 MP15AC Milwaukee Road #460 w/ Tsunami 2 DCC & Sound HO Scale

Today we'll unbox and review an Athearn Genesis MP15AC in the Milwaukee Road Scheme (Billboard) numbered 460. This is a model I purchased a few months ago but have enjoyed having so I hope you enjoy! There are a few issues and things I wish this model has, including lit number boards, given that it is a "Genesis 2.0" model. The other 2 road numbers in this release had beacons, my model does not.

15 ES is the Milwaukee Road inhouse locomotive designation, i.e., 15 hundred hp, diesel Electric, Switcher. Nice model, I would see them quite often growing up in Chicagoland. It wasn't unusual to see them mixed in with headend consists on road freights.

You can probably turn those ground lights up in brightness I do believe. There are cv's that can change alot on these tsu decoders.

The run from two years ago of the MP15AC with the Tsunami 2 Decoder is much better than the first run (2011?) with the MRC decoder. I have two MILW MP15ACs with the MRC decoder and at some point I will put Tsunami 2 decoders in them as well.
