This Key Lime Pie Recipe easy dessert takes only ten minutes to pull together and is the perfect combination of tart and sweet! This award winning key lime pie is a favorite of ours, was shared many years ago by a lovely Floridian. It's fresh and flavorful, with a natural creamy yellow filling and delicious buttery graham cracker crumb crust.
Key Lime Pie Recipe Easy Ingredients
Homemade Graham Cracker Crust
10 - 11 graham crackers
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup sugar (I'm using Monk Fruit sweetener, which is a 1x1 replacement for white sugar)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Crush the 10 to 11 graham crackers. Once they are crushed into fine crumbs, mix in 1/4 cup of sugar (or sugar alternative) and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Add the melted butter and mix thoroughly to incorporate the butter into all of the crumb mixture. Pour the crumb mixture into a pie plate, spreading across the bottom and sides in a uniform thickness. Bake for 10 minutes.

12 - 20 key limes (more if they are small)
2 14 oz cans sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup key lime juice
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon key lime zest
Key Lime Pie Recipe Easy Directions
Grate about one tablespoon of key lime zest. Juice the key limes, depending on the size of your limes, you'll need between 10 - 20. If you can't find key limes, you can use bottled key lime juice (Nellie & Joe's Famous Key West Lime Juice).
Pour the two cans of sweetened condensed milk into a mixing bowl. Add the 3/4 cup of key lime juice and stir gently to blend. Add the 1/2 cup of sour cream, and the tablespoon of lime zest, and gently blend until smooth.
Pour the key lime filling mixture into the crust, smoothing the top. Bake in the 350 degree oven for ten minutes, then cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes. Cover loosely and chill for at least 4 hours.
To make a batch of mini key lime pie, use a cupcake tin. Bake the mini crusts for 4 minutes, then fill with key lime pie filling and bake for 5 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes, then cover and chill for 2 - 4 hours.
Homemade Whipping Cream Recipe
Combine 1 cup heavy whipping cream and one tablespoon and a half of sugar (or Monk Fruit sweetener), beating on high speed for 3 - 5 minutes until soft peaks form.
Serving Key Lime Pie
When you're ready to serve, spread the whipped cream evenly over the pie, and top with freshly grated key lime and your favorite garnish.
