They must have a deal with Edgar Wright, director of Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim to be able to get all of those in the game!

Since we know Frankenstein’s Monster is a planned character thanks to the teaser I think the first big expansion for FUNKO Fusion will be Universal Monsters with Frankenstein’s Monster, Count Dracula, Lady Frankenstein, the Wolfman and the Creature from the Black Lagoon, plus a Boris Karloff 1932 Mummy alternate costume for the 1999 Mummy.

Also calling that Bates Motel from Psycho will be a secret level (it’s a Universal IP) similar to how LEGO Dimensions had secret levels for Flintstones, Jetsons, Red Dwarf and more.

The other location in that shot of purple portals is the village of Sandford from Hot Fuzz. It’s shown another few times throughout the trailer. The 2 head on the ground Martin Blower and Eve Draper after their nasty ‘accident’ in Hot Fuzz on the outskirts of the village. The shot where the policeman grows giant with the church in the back is Inspector Frank Butterman and this takes place either in Sandford itself or in the model village. The shot with the characters from Hot Fuzz in the garden shed could possibly come from Shaun of The Dead. And also the shot of Sgt Angel gearing up takes place in Sandford Police station.

I’m so happy about this game! My favorite director of all time is Edgar Wright, and most of his movies are going to be in this game! Scott Pilgrim is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I’m so sad that I never got to get any of the FUNKO pops for it (I mean… i could… but I’m not paying 200 dollars). I really hope we get re-releases for the FUNKO pops in the game. I am so happy to see the hot fuzz FUNKO pop coming out! That’s gotta be a good sign right???

This really looks amazing. I wonder in that scene where we see Freddy and Proto, maybe that is the set-up scene where Freddy accidentally becomes that evil looking version of himself which sets up the backstory of the game. I think we are going to see numerous pops and exclusives coming to the Funko shop when this game gets released. Great video

I think this will be really good. I always enjoyed games like Skylanders and Lego Dimensions. I'm glad they are tying in the physical and digital ones. Image if they did a NFT line and you get access to those digital charcters in the game too.
