NFS Hot Pursuit 2 - Autumn Crossing in under 2:16

For my second top run in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 I picked the track Autumn Crossing, which is the second shortest of the 4 sprint tracks and uses parts of the circuit tracks Alpine Trail and Fall Winds.

This track is a very good one for teaching something that is useful to know as a competitive player in various racing games: When not to shift up. I am reaching max rev in 2nd gear in several sections here, so you could think that it would be useful to shift up in them but if you actually try it you will see that it's not actually worth it. I probably should have even stayed in 2nd gear before the final chicane as well.

As usual I practiced quite a lot for this run and I did 5 different runs under 2:16 here. If I could hit every corner perfectly in the same run I could probably even get under 2:15 but there are just too many projects for me to work on right now to spend more than a few hours on a single 2 minute track.

I wish modern NFS takes more time to create beautiful scenery. I mean, there are roads in The Crew that make me slow down & look aground just because how stunning everything was crafted!

No realtime shadows, no HDR, no water reflections, no normal maps - almost naked polygons with textures, but how much more atmospheric and beautiful it is then the modern titles!
