What F1 Drivers think of Female Drivers!

The lack of diversity on the Formula One grid is pretty obvious to see. 3 of the 20 drivers are Asain, 1 is Caribbean, 1 is Mexican, and the rest are of white European. The ethnic diversity of the grid is poor, but what is more shocking is that 0 of the 20 drivers on the grid is female. It is beyond belief that of the 20 best drivers in the world, none of them are female. That just can’t be correct. So what is stopping them from getting into the sport, what are we doing to make it more accessible for them, and what does the wider F1 community think of female drivers?

If women is as good as the men, why not? I would like to see women in F1 but they need to be equally competitive with the other drivers regardless of gender or race. Don't just put them in an F1 seat for the sake of diversity, put them on because they deserve it and got the merits for it.

I am all for it if they are good. In my opinion any sport (F1 included) should be about the elite of the elite fighting for wins. We already have paid drivers so having paid drivers and forced female drivers will not be fun to watch. I will say to eliminate paid drivers and let the best of the best race

If she can pull 6 Gs, 4 times a lap, for 60 laps, for 22 races a year, and has $Ms of financial backing, then let her in...

Seems like most of y'all missed the point of the video. He literally stated SEVERAL times it's not about putting average females in F1 just to look good, but to support female drivers the same way male drivers are supported and encouraged often from a young age.

It is not about gender. It is about talent.

In order to join F1 you need to have skills (except mazepin and stroll) so it's not about diversity is about skills

Just focus on performance. Not on races or genders or even age. It's really that simple.

I look at Juju Noda from Japan and how her dad manages her racing career in 2024 with F1 as her goal. She only did F1 Academy once and is now focusing on Super Formula, competing with men since it gives her a better shot. And since finances is always a big deal, she has garnered sponsors so she can compete in different EU races to get a feel on other tracks. Props to her dad who had her skip on female-only programs because it really leads nowhere.

Imagine Lawrence saying: I'm sorry Fernando, I want an all Stroll team, you're reserve, Chloe's going to take the 2nd main seat.

These kind of discussions always make it sound like there's 5 woman out there that can compete for an F1 World Championship but there's teamdirectors out there who say: LOL Nope you're female, you're not allowed in F1. But we all know that's not the case at all..
If you're good enough to make it to F1, you'll make it to F1, regardless of whatever diversity group you belong to

You are either good enough to attract attention by a team (and by 'attract', I mean capable of winning) or you are not.

Forcing a team or an agenda on "Get Women into F1" will only turn away people who will interpret this not as "these are the best drivers" but as "these are the drivers we think are the best".

Not the same thing.

All you have to do is be one of the best drivers in the world. If a women isn't that then oh well, just get better

Did Lewis help any of the girl to support the financial part of their racing career? He seems to 'care' so much by making all the positive comments. These girls need more than just F1 champions encouragement and good wishes, they need sone kind of financial support, racing is expensive.

If they are good enough, they’ll be on the grid. A good driver is the main priority for any team so I highly doubt any team will go out of their way to make sure women don’t get a seat

It is perfectly understandable and definitely not shocking at all that the 20 best drivers in the world are men and there are no women in F1.

There aren't even any women in F2 or F3 getting race wins.

They can't compete with males when it comes to the fitness, stamina, reflexes, ability to absorb so much gforce for the extended period of time to drive a Grand Prix.

Much like there are no women playing Tennis in the men's comp etc.

I'm not saying there are no talented women drivers, just no women drivers capable of beating the top 20 males in an F1 car over a Grand Prix distance.

We can't just put women in the sport for the sole sake of including them. If there is a female driver fit enough and consistently fast enough to compete with the men, then yes let them race.

I can’t stand hearing about “diversity” in the sport. The sport is p2p; want diversity? Then financially back someone who is diverse. Plenty of black, South American, middle eastern, Asian billionaires out there. They aren’t funding drivers who look like them tho.

If they are good enough then they should be there. That’s it.

No Equity adjustments,
No Diversity quotas,
No Inclusivity demands.
