The FBI is searching former Vice President Pence's Indiana home for classified documents according to a senior law enforcement official. NBC's Kelly O'Donnell reports from the White House.

I want the FBI to search the residences and properties of all former presidents/VPs now, just to be thorough. Going forward, all records need to be tracked and accounted for at all times, and all presidents/VPs must have all their belongings packed 48 hours before vacating the White House so appropriately vetted and authorized personnel can go thru everything and catch anything packed by mistake.

This whole ordeal has been very concerning, regardless of which side of the aisle, if any, you may fall on.

Why the F+++ are these people allowed to leave office without a search? If you have access to classified docs, a separation search should be done. I don't care what party you represent, you should be searched. There should not be an "honor system" when it comes to this sort of thing. What little faith I had in our government is now gone... not that there was much faith, to begin with.

This is a failure of the staff, while pence was forced to leave super fast after the failure of the insurrection. Sad that people in the service if the president and vice presidents do not know how to do their job.
